Brief
We have helped our partners at JWD Creative with CAD renderings for over a decade. This time they asked us to create some intense LED colored scan room renders for an up and coming scan system from GE. We needed to design a modern scan room that matched the aesthetic of the gantry. We also would need to manage a virtual shoot to match live action talent in the studio to our 3D assets while on the other side of the world. We have been doing this for many year, piece of cake!
Creative Solution
We worked with the clients CAD data to prepare a photo-real 3D asset we could render into a variety of scenes. This usually requires a lot of cleanup of these heavy assets as well as matching the plastics and materials used on the final production product.
Over the years we have developed our materials library to simulate the look of the different surfaces for this clients products. We usually tweak and upgrade these materials on each and every job to increase the level of quality.
We also provided previs modeling to sort out the look and feel of the environment. This was essential for the live action studio photography. We can provide measurements, camera angles, lenses to use and lighting information all before the day of the shoot. This helps improve setup time and removes lots of guesswork. The results are always better as well with perfect perspective and lighting in the studio we provide real-time integration of the shot with our 3D scenes for client approval.
